Local children chosen to perform in Marine Hall’s panto

Marine Hall in Fleetwood has given local children the chance to be a star on the stage in their upcoming pantomime Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.

Earlier this year talented youngsters from across Wyre were invited to audition to be a part of the chorus and now rehearsals have begun for those who were lucky enough to be chosen.

Presented by Trio Entertainment, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs is about to embark on a theatre tour around the UK and will come to Fleetwood on Thursday 8 December to Sunday 11 December. The successful school children will appear in Saturday’s 2pm and 7pm shows.

Former EastEnders star Joshua Pascoe, famous for playing Ben Mitchell in the nation's much loved soap, will be starring in the panto as the hilarious Muddles alongside Blackpool cabaret star Victoria Roberts who plays the terrifying Wicked Queen, and singing sensation Kate Greenwood as Snow White.

Ian Munro, Head of Culture, Leisure and Tourism at Wyre Council comments, “We are delighted to be able to offer local children the chance to shine on stage. The open auditions gave kids from across the borough the chance to show off their talent and take part in a professional theatre production. Rehearsals are going great and we are all looking forward to watching the show.”

Lucia Mae Valentine is one of the lucky children cast in the panto and comments, “I’m very excited and can’t wait to see what it will be like on stage! I have been to watch lots of pantomimes with my family but this is the first ever pantomime I have been in. I think it is going to be so much fun!”

Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs is on at Marine Hall, Fleetwood from Thursday 8 to Sunday 11 December. Tickets are just £8.50 and can be booked online here, in person at Marine Hall or by calling 01253 887693.
