Dressing rooms at Thornton Little Theatre

Thornton Little Theatre has enjoyed its very own makeover thanks to a kind donation by the Friends of the theatre and now boasts three fabulous dressing rooms perfect for any budding actor!

The renovations which were completed this week were able to take place thanks to a donation of £3000 by The Friends of Thornton Little Theatre. Set up in 2004 the 'Friends' are a group of volunteers determined to keep their local theatre alive.

John Allman, Chair of the Friends comments "It's great to see the new dressing rooms here, they look really good and after several years of refurbishments at Thornton Little Theatre they are the icing on the cake. We have worked really hard at events running the bar here, selling teas and coffees and fundraising to support this fantastic venue. We are really pleased to be working alongside Wyre Council to put money back into the theatre for local people to enjoy. The dressing rooms now offer a space that we can really be proud of."

As well as redecorating, the refurbishments include new mirrors, lighting and clothing rails. The new dressing rooms can now be enjoyed by casts performing at the theatre as well as by bridal parties using the theatre as a wedding venue.

Alongside the dressing rooms. Wyre Council has also refurbished the venue's reception area to complete the theatre's renovations.
