If you are stuck for ideas of what to buy your friends and family this Christmas, why not treat them to a trip to the theatre?
Marine Hall in Fleetwood and Thornton Little Theatre have announced a great line-up of shows for 2017 and tickets are on sale now.
Starting the New Year in style, Marine Hall’s beautiful ballroom is being transformed into an indoor ice skating rink on Thursday 5 to Saturday 7 January. Tickets are just £5 when you book in advance and make a great stocking filler that the kids can enjoy before they go back to school.
Or if live music is what you are looking for there’s something from every genre to choose from. Folk fans can get their hands on tickets to see The Hut People at Thornton Little Theatre on Saturday 4 March. Or if Blues is more your thing, Paul Jones is bringing The Blues Band to Marine Hall for the first time ever on Thursday 20 April. Joined by Dave Kelly, Tom McGuiness, Rob Townsend and Gary Fletcher it’s no surprise they’ve been dazzling audiences for 37 years. 20 albums and thousands of gigs later, they’ve earned a reputation around the world as one of the finest exponents of the blues tradition in all its forms. Or if you know someone who would love a night of brass band classics, don’t miss The Band of the Kings Division at Marine Hall on Friday 19 May.
Tickets have also just come out for The Searchers on Friday 28 July and Les McKeown’s Bay City Rollers on Saturday 30 September, both at Marine Hall. They are already selling fast so get your hands on them now.
Plus there plenty of tributes to the world’s best bands and musicians including Totally Tina Turner, Sincerely Yours – The Vera Lynn Story, The Upbeat Beatles, The Dame Shirley Bassey Story, Patsy Cline and Friends, One Night of Elvis, A New Flame tribute to Simply Red, The Stones and Jive Talkin’ at Marine Hall, as well as A Night of Queen, Pink Floydian, Into The Shadows and a David Bowie tribute -Spiders on Mars at Thornton Little Theatre.
On Saturday 10 June the team from this year’s hilarious Dirty Dusting will be back with a brand new show – Seriously Dead! Following rave reviews, Chrissy Rock, Frazer Hines, Billy Pearce and Paul Dunn will be back to perform a side splitting comedy play that will have you dying with laughter!
The comedy gold continues as legend Barry Cryer comes to Fleetwood on Saturday 15 July followed by The Grumbleweeds on Saturday 5 August. Plus, who could forget the funniest Friday night out in town as the ever popular Jongleurs Comedy nights return on Friday 14 July and 13 October.
