Thousands Get into the Christmas Spirit at Marine Hall this Weekend
Published: Tuesday, 26 November 2013
With around 50 food, drink and gift stalls at this weekend’s Christmas Market it’s no wonder thousands of people turned up for a great family day out.
The venue was packed, inside and out all day as people stopped by to sample and buy local produce and stock up on gifts for friends and family.
Kids got stuck into some cupcake decorating with A Slice of Heaven and enjoyed making Christmas lanterns at the free workshops, while the grown ups enjoyed a glass of mulled wine and tasty treats.
For lunch there was a whole range of delicious things to try from traditional pork sausage to a taste of Mauritius, Thai pies to a hog roast. The weather held out and everyone was able to enjoy the hot food and live music under the colonnade in the gardens. All in all it was a great day that we hope to repeat next year.
