Two Classic Films come to Thornton Little Theatre

Published: Thursday, 06 March 2014

Wizard of Oz

Two of the top must see films are showing at Thornton Little Theatre on Sunday 9 March as part of the Little Theatre Film Club - don’t miss your chance to see two classics on the big screen.

First up is the Wizard of Oz at 3pm. The Wizard of Oz first hit our screens in 1939 and has been pleasing audiences both young and young-at-heart ever since. This is your chance to enjoy the film’s magic, adventure, colour and imagination that lies just over the rainbow!

Then, at 7.30pm British film classic Kes is showing – a must for all film fans. The film follows outcast Billy Casper as he finds friendship in an injured kestrel in a stark and unflinching reflection of life in rural England and the isolation of childhood.

The Little Theatre Film Club was launched back in January – if you’d like the film club to continue, if you’ve enjoyed a film at the venue or if you have any feedback on the films you’d like to see in future, Thornton Little Theatre would love to hear from you. You can get in touch through Facebook or Twitter

Tickets for each film are just £3.50 when booked in advance or £5 on the door. You can book your seats here or call the box office on 01253 887693.
