The Fylde Coast Food and Drink Festival is back

Published: Wednesday, 07 May 2014

Hot Food cooking at the Food Festival

Following the phenomenal success of last year’s event, Marine Hall, Fleetwood is once again hosting the Fylde Coast Food and Drink Festival on Sunday 17 August.

The best of local producers are being invited to the venue to help promote quality food and drink from across our region.

The festival will take place across the whole venue including the impressive main ballroom, the Waterfront Café Bar, the Wyre Lounge and outside along the colonnade. The venue’s seaside setting, newly renovated gardens and the children's activities taking place at the event should make for a great summer's day out for the whole family to enjoy.

The event takes place from 10am – 4pm and exhibitors are already signing up to get on board. There’ll be everything from chocolate to cupcakes, coffee to cordials, cheese to chutneys and pies to puddings.

Janet Heald, Events Manager at Marine Hall comments, “We were overwhelmed by the success of last summer’s event, which we were then able to build upon at our Christmas Market last year. This year we are welcoming back lots of exhibitors from the previous events as well as introducing plenty of new producers to the venue. It really is a great day out, there will be lots of tasty samples to try, hot food to enjoy on the day as well as food and drinks to buy and take home. There’s so much on offer you will struggle to choose what to have for lunch! We will be hosting activities to keep the kids occupied too so there will be something for the whole family to enjoy. We still have space for exhibitors interested in the event, so please get in touch if you’d like to join us.”

Entry is free and there’s plenty of free parking right next to the venue – so make a date in your diary for a delicious day out!
