If you’re looking for things to do with the kids this Easter, or if you’re planning a night out with friends be sure to check what’s coming up at Marine Hall, Fleetwood this April.

Kicking off the Easter holidays is the pantomime Red Riding Hood on Wednesday 1 April. Brought to you by Magic Light Productions, this hilarious adaptation of the traditional story is a fun filled show for all ages to enjoy. Red Riding Hood is accompanied on stage by her friends Muddles and Russell Sprout, but can they save the day and make it to happily ever after? Tickets are £8 and the show starts at 2.30pm.

If Fifty Shades of Grey is not quite your scene – why not try the Grumpy Old Women’s new show Fifty Shades of Beige on Saturday 11 April. Perrier Award winning comedian Jenny Eclair is returning to her Fylde Coast roots to knock some sense into the audience along with fellow recruits Susie Blake of Mrs Brown’s Boy’s and Coronation Street and Kate Robbins of Where the Heart is and Casualty.

The jam packed show includes the joy of large pants, a free nagging master class (how to get your own way without him even noticing), the art of ‘Grumpy Grooming’, beards for women, which style will suit you?, complimentary anger management workshop, middle-aged drinking: the rules, navigating the smorgasbord of worry, voluntary euthanasia vs. retirement, how to customise an unwanted pole dancing kit and a mercifully brief Zumba demonstration. Come and bask in an orgy of fury and big laughs in over two hours of no nonsense comedy (with comfort break)! Tickets are £18, and the show is suitable for over 16s only. 

Back by popular demand, The Searchers return to Marine Hall on Thursday 16 April with classic hits such as, Sweets For My Sweet, Needles and Pins, Don’t Throw Your Love Away, Sugar and Spice and When You Walk In The Room.  

With total record sales well in excess of 50 million, The Searchers still have great appeal to audiences of all ages. They tour the globe as much today as they have done throughout a fantastic career spanning five decades. Their show is highly entertaining and has been enthusiastically and warmly received throughout the world. Combined with anecdotes and reminiscences, this concert includes all their famous hits, plus many album recordings, B-sides and a selection of other collector and well known favourites. Doors open at 7.30pm and tickets are £17.50.

Rounding things up is Country Roads - a Celebration of John Denver on Saturday 25 April. This authentic tribute will take you on a magical journey through the musical career of John Denver, featuring popular hits such as Annie’s Song, Leaving on a Jet Plane, Rocky Mountain High and title track Take Me Home Country Roads.  One of the first artists to sell over 10 million copies alone for his Greatest Hits album in 1973 John Denver is a unique artist who has inspired a generation. Releasing over 300 songs and penning some of American Folk Rocks most memorable hits he is a true musical legend.

Celebrate the life of John Denver and sing along to his most memorable hits performed by the renowned Wayne Denton, backed by incredibly talented musicians and enhanced with moving video footage.
