Jongleurs

Back by popular demand, Jongleurs comedy nights are returning to Fleetwood. They tore the roof off last time so now the country's best stand-up comedians are gracing the stage at Marine Hall once more

Next month, don’t miss the hilarious Ste Porter, John Ryan and Daliso Chaponda who will be joined on the night by compère Chris Cairns. It’s a great Friday night out so grab a group of friends and enjoy the funniest night out in town.

Opening the night is Ste Porter, who since arriving on the circuit in early 2007 is now a professional comedian – a meteoric rise in such a short time. His affable style both relaxes and delights audiences and his quick wit makes him a great act. Ste is now a resident MC at Liverpool’s Laughterhouse, is a real crowd pleaser and is widely regarded as Liverpool’s next big comedy talent.

Next up is John Ryan, the irresistibly amiable and Edinburgh highlight award winner.  Ryan uses his acerbic wit and seemingly encyclopedic knowledge of the world around him to keep any audience on their toes. His East End Irish upbringing gives him the rare ability to connect with people from diverse backgrounds. No stranger to either the unusual or the norm, he puts an amusing spin on any subject matter going. John has a reputation for thinking on his feet and confidently and cleverly adapting his show to any audience.

Closing the night is - Daliso Chaponda who began his comedy career in Canada with the acclaimed one man show ‘Feed This Black Man’. Subsequent appearances across Canada followed  and highlights include ‘The Just For Laughs Festival’ 2005 and CBC Televisions ‘Crossing The Main’. In 2004 he headlined the ‘Don’t Let Them Deport Me Comedy Show’ as a plea to officials to have his Canadian visa extended. The show was sold out, well reviewed and frenzied letters were written to bureaucrats. He was forced to leave anyway after one final show, 2005′s ‘They’re Deporting Him Anyway’ after which he worked as a comedy writer and performer in South Africa before moving to the UK.

The evening will be compered by Chris Cairns who so far has had quite a year. He has become a dad, bought a house, started working with children and has been reveling in his award as Liverpool Comedian of the Year. His turnover of material is incredible with topical gags featuring heavily in a set that covers everything from the joys of childbirth to what passes for real romance in Toxteth!

Chris has bags of charm and a natural enthusiasm which makes him irresistible to audiences and while not looking very quick on his feet, he more than makes up for it with his speed of thought. His spontaneity and improvisational skills have created a demand for him as a compere. He’s gained a reputation for being able to handle the toughest of rooms with his sharp put downs and a fine eye for a cutting remark. He is known all over the North West as a friend to the audience but a deadly foe to the heckler.

Brought to you by Jongleurs, the UK's number one comedy company, this bunch will have you rolling in the aisles with laughter. Don't miss this chance to see two hours of today's funniest stand-up – book your tickets now! Tickets are just £12 or £10 each if you book at table of ten or more.
