The Mersey Beatles

To celebrate 80 years of entertainment at Marine Hall there’s a packed programme of live music coming up.

Kicking off the season is The Dreamers on Friday 3 July. Formerly 'Freddie and The Dreamers' they remain one of the best known bands on the sixties music circuit. Join original band members Alan Mosca and Bryan Byng for a night of their most popular hits. 

In summer you can enjoy some great free live music at the Rock Garden afternoons on Sunday 2 August and Sunday 9 August as local performers take to the stage in the Marine Gardens. 

The Ragdolls are coming to town on Thursday 17 September with their brilliant Jersey Boys tribute. Hear all the hits including Big Girls Dont Cry, Lets Hang On, Beggin, Rag Doll & Sherry Baby.

Britain’s youngest and most loved crooner Ray Quinn is touring once again and will be performing a whole array of new songs on Saturday 17 October. Plus, that same weekend Lindisfarne fans can join Billy Mitchell and Ray Laidlaw on Sunday 18 October for a celebration of Tyneside's best loved band. Enjoy their greatest hits and discover the inspiration behind their composition. Or why not dust off your flares and enjoy Abbamania on Saturday 24 October, a tribute to one of the world's biggest bands – what’s not to love?

Following a legendary performance last year, Buddy Holly and the Cricketers return to the venue on Saturday 14 November. Britain’s most popular Buddy Holly act, this breath taking show has rock ’n’ rolled audiences across the globe and is guaranteed to have everyone dancing in the aisles.

The Bay City Rollers are also back by popular demand on Sunday 15 November. Join Les McKeown and his four piece band for a celebration of those hectic days and the behind the scenes pandemonium that followed. On Tuesday 24 November Root Music and Band on the Wall present Lau, one of the UK's most musically revered and celebrated UK folk bands. 

Then rounding things up on Friday 27 November, the venue’s 80th birthday, Liverpool’s favourite Beatles tribute the Mersey Beatles are taking to the stage in recognition of the fact that the band once played at Marine Hall back in 1962. Regular’s at Liverpool’s Cavern Club and loved by John Lennon’s sister this band perfectly recreates the atmosphere of the original Beatles!
