Charity festival set to remember those lost in war

Tribute will be paid to the brave men and women who have fallen while serving their country at the Northern Festival of Remembrance in Fleetwood.

On Wednesday 4 November, the Mayor and Mayoress of Wyre, Councillor Tom I Balmain and Mrs Alene Balmain, are hosting the festival at Marine Hall in Fleetwood. 

The festival features a host of musical delights including The Band of the King's Division led by Captain Stewart Halliday, Classic Sound, Ann Cookson, Peter Baldwin, Barbara Jackson Theatre Arts and the Festival Singers.

County Councillor John Shedwick will narrate the event which will see a Parade of Standards and Cadets led by members of F Company Scots Guards and a Drum Head Service conducted
by the Reverend David Greenwood.

The event takes place at 7.30pm on Wednesday 4 November and all the proceeds will be donated to The Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal.
