Local band Troubadour returns to Thornton Little Theatre

Published: Wednesday, 14 September 2016

Following a successful raft of shows up and down the country acoustic band Troubadour are back on their home ground to play a very special and intimate show at Thornton Little Theatre on 8 October.

Following on from the success of their first studio album, ‘Carnival Town’, which included the crowd favourite, ‘By the River’ and the track ‘Shelter’ which was used by the BBC in the TV drama ‘Waterloo Road’, Michael Shanagher and Andrew Bache have returned with their latest studio offering,  ‘Infinite Expectations’. The EP showcases the band’s bigger sound with the addition of drummer Liam Pemberton, and multi-instrumentalist Bobby Turner and since its launch, Troubadour have been back in the studio working on new material. This show promises to be a sneak peek into the sounds that will go on the next album from the band.

Troubadour last performed here two years ago and what a night! This time round you can expect rousing rock 'n' roll that makes you want to walk with a swagger, acoustic lullabies that remind you of places you haven't even been and melodies that are guaranteed to have you singing along.

It has also been announced that Blackpool band Familiar Ghost will be supporting Troubadour on the night. Familiar Ghost are an eclectic mix of music makers creating sounds derived from thoughtful lyrics, quirky rhythms and drums from the deep.

Troubadour and Familiar Ghost are at Thornton Little Theatre on Saturday 8 October and the show starts at 8pm. Tickets are £7.  To book call the box office on 01253 887693 or click here to book online.
